Lockup is a new card games. We hope you like it. Good luck to you

How to play

Objective
Lockup is a trick taking game, you get one point per trick taken and the first player to get to 20 points wins the game. Each player plays for himself, you do not play in teams. To get the most tricks you must also avoid taking tricks with (clubs ♣). Tricks with clubs will put you in Lockup, which means you don't get to play for 1-4 tricks, depending on the number of club cards you took.

Dealing and starting
Each player gets dealt 13 cards. The first player to start is chosen randomly, in the next round the person to start will be the next person to the left of the person who started the current round. (1 round is 13 tricks, i.e. starting a new round is when all the cards are finished and are dealt again).

Playing
A player leading a trick can put out a card in any suit he wants, except clubs. You may only lead clubs if you have nothing else left. The players that follow must put out cards in the same suit if they have at least one. If they have no cards in the same suit they may put out any card they want. The player who puts out the highest card in the suit takes the trick. There are no trump cards. Aces are high.

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ: The one exception to the following suit rule is, if there are picture cards (jack, queen or king) on the table and you have a club card of the same rank (jack, queen or king) you are allowed to play it. Example: There is a queen of hearts on the table. It's your turn, you have some hearts but also the queen of clubs. You are allowed to play either the queen of clubs or any of your hearts. See next section for why clubs are special!

Lockup
Clubs ♣ are the cards you want to avoid. If you take a trick and it contains at least one club you will get put in lockup for as many tricks as there were clubs in the trick you took. E.g. you take a trick with 3 clubs, you get locked up for 3 tricks. When you're in lockup you don't get to play a card, instead one card in your hand is chosen randomly and will just be removed. The player to your left will be the one who leads the first card for the trick while you're in lockup, and it will just be a trick with only 3 cards. Once your lockup is finished you can play normally again.

Scoring
After a round is finished the score is calculated. Each trick counts as one point. The first player to reach 20 points wins. If two players have 20 points or more and have the same amount of points the game continues until one of them is higher than the other and he wins, there can only be one final winner.
